Lately, I have been stressing out a little about where this new baby is going to sleep. Granted, this won't be a problem for quite awhile. I just like to be prepared. I like to have a plan. The new baby will sleep in our room in the bassinet for the first couple of months, but after that who knows.
We do technically have a 3 bedroom house, but the 3rd bedroom is the office/storage/dog kennel room. So pretty much we've decided that Fiona and the baby will share a room. However, this poses yet another problem since her room is pretty small. How do we fit 2 cribs in her room?
The solution:
Cages! I mean ... um, er ... bunk beds?
I know that I often jokingly refer to the crib as baby jail, but seriously this looks like a cell block for tiny prisoners. Can't you just see them in their striped pjs with their little tin cups? I would definitely feel like a prison warden tucking my kids into these things at night.
The crazy things people come up with.

Wow...who would've thought?
Bren and Jack have shared a room from day one and it's been okay...I am not sure how big/small Fi's room is, though. Is there a changing table that could go? A dresser that could fit in the closet? In LA the boys had a biggish closet and I used it as a toy "room", too. It helped the room feel bigger.
How old will Fiona be when the baby needs a crib? could she go to a toddler bed? Sometimes I feel like cribs are too enormous. Ingrid always scrunches up in one corner anyway...They should make smaller cribs!
That is so funny! It's almost as bad as the baby rattle shaped like a handgun!
Wow that's a crazy bunk bed for sure! Never seen anything like that. Have you thought about a mini crib? Those are great space savers and some even come with a small side changing table so that you can continue to use the space as an office etc... as well as your baby's room. I'd recommend visiting http://www.simplykidsfurniture.com/kids-beds-bunk-beds.html for some great crib choices and other furniture as well.
