I am way behind on blogging, but I'm not going to try and catch up tonight. The plague struck our house and we've been out of commission a lot lately. Just wanted to share a few things before I completely forget them.
Fiona has never paid a whole lot of attention when I breastfeed Callie. Other than she knows that I'm stuck sitting down and uses that opportunity to be naughty or climb all over us like a jungle gym. She would occasionally tell me that she was nursing her baby dolls, but not often.
About a week ago she started a sudden obsession with it. It started with her asking to nurse. Uh ... no. Sorry, you have a mouth full of teeth and Mommy is afraid of being bitten. Since, I wouldn't let her nurse, then she decided that she should nurse Callie. She spent 2 days pulling up her shirt and trying to "nurse" her sister. Every time I would sit down with Callie, Fiona would throw a screaming fit. "No, Mommy. Me nurse Sissy!" My little mommy-in-training.
Fiona has also started talking up a storm. It is like someone flipped a switch. She just started talking, 3-4 word sentences. A lot of it we still don't quite understand, but it is a major improvement. Yay for talking! Now I wish (not really) she would stop for a few minutes.
On a sadder note, we got rid of our little dog, Chloe before Christmas. We still have Toby, but it is sad. Chloe was my first baby before I had babies. However, 2 year olds and 3 lb dogs don't really go well together. I felt like Chloe never got the attention she needed, added to the fact that Fiona wanted to love her a little too roughly. I know it was the best decision, but it was really hard. I cried a lot and I still get very sad when Fiona asks about her. Overall, we are adjusting well, even Toby who misses his buddy.
On a happier note, I've gotten really into making little ribbon creations. I even opened up an etsy shop.
http://www.etsy.com/shop/Magnificence I've been having a lot of fun making these little hair clips/pins and I even made some money to spend on Christmas presents. Who knew you could do so much with ribbon? It definitely gives me a creative outlet. I haven't had as much time as I would have liked to work on it lately with sick children who have required Mommy around the clock, but hopefully now that we are all on the mend.
Okay, and now for a couple of pictures just because.
