Super Girl

Fiona's imagination is keeping us in stitches these days (when it isn't making us want to tear our hair out).  Last week she decided that she was super girl.  She demanded that I find her a cape and then spent the rest of the day flying around the house and telling us that she was super fast and super strong.
Here's a picture of her showing her Daddy how she is super strong.

Almost a Year!

I'm a super slacker.  I didn't even manage to get a post written when Calina hit 10 months, so I guess this is a 10/11 month post.  Poor second child.  I absolutely refuse to believe that my baby is going to be 1 year old in a month.  How is that possible?  I thought the first year went fast with Fiona, but it has gone hyperspeed with Callie bug.

Callie is still a HUGE mama's girl, which I both love and hate.  I really don't see it changing anytime soon since she is basically attached to me 24/7.  There is definitely a lack of willing babysitters for a kid who screams the entire time I'm gone.

Callie is fascinated with her new cousin, Liam.  She really likes to try to poke his eyes, but she also loves giving him kisses.

Callie and Mimi

Calina is such a talker.  Oh my gosh, I cannot believe how much more she talks than Fiona did at that age.  I've been lazy and haven't really worked very hard with her on sign.  She knows "more", "nurse", and "all done".  But she is already saying "Mama", "Dada", "ball", and "Bob" (when VeggieTales comes on she crawls over to the tv chanting Bob, which is what Fiona calls Veggie Tales).  She might be saying more, but those are the only ones I know she says consistently.

Callie bug is still not a walker though.  She is very cautious.  She can stand on her own just fine and will take a step or two if she isn't paying attention, but as soon as she realizes she's not holding on she sits right down.  She can keep up just fine with the big girls by crawling, so she hasn't found it necessary to walk yet.

She's also still not over her dairy intolerance.  Thank God, she now seems to be over her soy intolerance though and she is less sensitive to dairy.  I can now have tiny bits of dairy without her having any reaction, so maybe there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

I honestly thought that children falling asleep in high chairs was a myth until the other day.  Callie was chatting away munching on a snack while I did a few dishes.  All of the sudden it got quiet and I turned around to find her sound asleep.

Happy 10 and 11 months Calina!
